今日同事問有關ITEM CATEGORY 既野, 回憶下先~

ITEM CATEGORY DETERMINATION :

SALES ORDER TYPE + ITEM CATEGORY GROUP + ITEM CATEGORY USAGE + HIGH LEVEL ITEM CATEGORY = ITEM CATEGORY

又問到ITEM CATEGORY USAGE 係咩來。 我只係記得係ABAP PROGRAM, 沒得改的, 亦可係CUSTOMER-MATERIAL INFO RECORD 度SET ITEM USAGE。

書本的解釋:

The usage for the item, which in some cases is set internally in the program.
The system uses TEXT if the user enters an item in the inquiry or quotation by
entering data in the “Description” field without specifying a material number.
FREE is used for controlling free goods items.

再上網SEARCH 下, 有以下RESULT:

Hi there:

As far as I know item category is determined based on the type/nature of the the item.  For example, SAP programs will set item category usage to FREE when it is dealing with free goods or CHSP for batch splits.  The it goes into T184 to determine item categories.

 Hi Frank,

you can force the system to use a specific item category usage by putting it into the customer material info record. But this option does not change the standard behaviour, i.e., for batch split CHSP item category usage is used, for free goods FREE item category usage is used, and so on.

Hope this helps you.

Hi all,

Item category usage is a field which can not be defined. It is hard coded in standard SAP program. When you create entries in table T184 you can specify which item category is to be determined based on combination of all four variables.  Hope this helps.
